With over 13 years of experience in business P&L leadership roles, Venkat has successfully managed P&L responsibilities and executed a diverse portfolio of projects. His skill set includes Project Development, Contracting, EPC Project Management & Execution, Cost and Risk Management, and Asset Life Cycle Management.
Venkat's leadership prowess is demonstrated by his track record of spearheading the Execution of 2GW of Solar PV projects ( + development of 2.5 GW projects) and several Transmission & Distribution projects, 10 GW gas-based power generation projects (including those utilizing hydrogen rich syngas fuels).
His expertise encompasses greenfield and brownfield project development cycles, including joint or co-development projects in the renewable energy and gas power generation sectors. Venkat has been involved in activities ranging from due diligence to financial closure, land acquisition to permitting, project execution, and asset life cycle management up to divestment.
His recent notable accomplishments include:
- Served as the Chief Operating Officer of Jakson Group's EPC Business Vertical. Venkat has been instrumental in overseeing a well-diversified portfolio of EPC Turnkey Projects encompassing Solar EPC and Electrical EPC.
- Steering the EPC and O&M Business Vertical at Vikram Solar for 2-1/2 years (2019-2022). In this role, Venkat led all facets of EPC operations with commendable expertise and proficiency.
- Delivering Projects and Services for 8 years in leading Business P&L of GE Gas Power for South Asia ($150 Mn revenue) with a track record of achieving consistent financial results and on time performance on Project deliveries. Venkat represented GE’s interest on the Board of GE/BHEL Joint venture (JV) i.e. “BHEL GE Gas Turbine Services” for about 4 years.
