Mr. Kumar Keshav a distinguished Indian Railway Service of Engineers (1982) officer, has over 40 years of expertise in urban mobility and transport infrastructure, and has played a pivotal role in reshaping India’s urban transportation landscape.
He serves as Director, Business Development (India) at DB International Operations, Germany, and Project Director for EIB’s Urban Mobility Competence Hub - a joint initiative of DB E&C and the European Investment Bank (EIB), provides technical expertise for the implementation of urban mobility solutions as part of the EIB's €3.2 billion funding portfolio for metro systems in major Indian cities. A distinguished figure in the domain, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to these roles.
Some past highlights of his illustrious career are his role as CEO of DB RRTS Operations India Ltd in October 2023, during which he was responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of Delhi-Meerut RRTS Stage-1 - India's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). As Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation, he was responsible for the early commissioning of Lucknow Metro and as Director of Projects & Planning for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, he played a key role in DMRC Phase 1. He also directed heavy haul rail projects in Australia.
