Mr. Harsimran Singh, CVO - Hindustan Coppers Limited

Er Harsimran Singh, IRSE is Gold Medalist in BE from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He has held several important posts including Chief Engineer(Construction), South Eastern Railway and Chief Project Manager/RVNL/Kolkata. He has over 21 years of experience in implementing various kinds of infrastructure projects of Railway. He has headed 48KM of Metro projects in Kolkata and Commissioned elevated Metro line JOKA-Majerhat (10.5 KM Stretch) with 7 stations. The Majerhat Metro station across suburban railway station is first of its kind in the country. He has successfully planned, executed and commissioned 6 Railway workshops including Vande Bharat Maintenance workshop and Metro rake maintenance Workshop.

He has knack of writing technical literature and has published nine technical papers in various journals and presented in various seminars. He has also published a book titled- “Engineer’s Handbook for Implementation of Industrial Projects” Further he has published various coffee table books including the one about JOKA-Taratala Metro unveiled by Hon’ble Minister of Railways. Recently, book titled “Ethics in Ethos” edited by him was unveiled in seminar attended by CVOs of all Central Organizations based in Kolkata and CVOs of CPSEs under Ministry of Mines.

The appointment Committee of Cabinet has selected him for the post of Chief Vigilance Officer of Hindustan Copper Ltd, a Central Public Sector Enterprise having the entire mining rights for Copper in the country. He has been posted as CVO/HCL since Sep24 and is also looking after the charge of CVO/NALCO(National Aluminium Company) for a brief period.
