Mr.
Amit Vaishnav is a Traction & Power Simulation expert with 16+ years of
professional experience in Electrical Engineering. He has worked extensively on
various traction simulation studies & design for both DC & AC, AC with
SFC system, APM, MAGLEV and hybrid-battery tender rail systems.
In
his current role as Head of Design-Traction & Power System in DB
Engineering and Consulting GmbH, he is leading a team of Electrical System
Designers, where he is delivering designs and proof checks for Traction &
Power systems and leading the product ownership of simulation packages.
Amit
Vaishnav is a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla
University, Raipur and is accredited as Incorporated Engineer (I.Eng),
Engineering Council (UK) & a certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001).
He
has led and delivered complex projects on traction power simulations for
various metros, mainline and hybrid transport projects, such as Klang Valley
MRT, Jakarta MRT, Chennai Metro, Doha Metro, Vale-Net Zero emission, Tanzania
Railways and Network Rail.
Furthermore he has an expertise of carrying out traction simulation on various industry renowned software tools such as OpenTrack & OpenPowertNet, eTRAX, DigSLENT Power Factory and has performed simulation studies at various stages of project lifecycle – Proof of Concept, Feasibility, Concept, Upgradation/ Expansion of railway projects, offering techno-commercial and optimized solutions to clients resulting in significant CAPEX & OPEX savings during design stages itself.
